I can't believe it's finally here and I'm writing this but here it is - my debut album. It has been an amazing ride so far getting to this point and it's looking like a long and interesting road ahead. I cannot wait to get out on it.
I've had a lot of help from a lot of people so far. The list of names would fill more space than I have available to me! So, to all my friends - you know who you are - and to everyone who's ever attended a live show and shouted, whistled, clapped, danced and whooped their way through the set please accept this heartfelt thank you from me to you. I simply couldn't do this without you and I appreciate all your support.
I'd like to say a few special thanks. Firstly to my parents and sisters: Steve, Helen, Seona and Eilidh. Thanks for encouraging me to walk my own path and for all the unconditional support, encouragement and late night lifts! Thanks to Paul and Wendy Churcher for continued support - and the ongoing use of Martin! Thanks to Dave Langton for everything - words don't seem enough Dave!
Next up, my band "The Smokin' Locos". Thank you to all members past and present but especially to the current lineup for putting up with my crap and for helping bring my visions to life. You're a truly wonderful, talented bunch, and I can't thank you enough.
A massive thank you to Mr Vince Lee for all the help and opportunities he's put my way, for playing on this record and most of all for the inspiration to go out and just do it! Thank you Vince - again, words just don't seem enough.
Last but by no means least, thank you to Gary and Teresa Platts and everyone involved with "The Acoustic Academy" at Plymouths Blues Bar & Grill for enabling me to get my first proper gig and starting this whole mental journey. Thanks also for providing a great environment for me and others like me to hone our craft!
I hope you enjoy this record. I do. It's been a real labour of love and so much fun making it.
